I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with my friend and colleague, Congressman Mark Takano of California. As the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Congressman Takano has long been a champion for the men and women who served our nation. When veterans return home after serving in the military - the stress of navigating this process is the last thing they need. We can mitigate this difficulty by providing financial counseling to our veterans so they can make lasting plans to ensure their future is well prepared for.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds introduced H.R. 3400, the Territorial Response and Access to Veterans’ Essential Lifecare Act or TRAVEL Act of 2025. This landmark legislation aims to improve healthcare access, including specialized medical services, for veterans residing in U.S. territories, particularly those in the Northern Mariana Islands and other underserved areas.
