Advocating for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses

This week, I had the opportunity to speak on my new bill, H.R. 7795, during the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations’ recent hearing. H.R. 7795, also called the VA SUBCON Act, will create a database of veteran-owned small businesses and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses for VA to pull from when hiring subcontractors. This bill prioritizes our veterans and increases the likelihood of their small businesses acquiring government contracts through VA!
