On Thursday I received a brief from Air Force Brigadier General Christopher Leonard on military construction projects in Tinian, Saipan, and Rota. Brigadier General Leonard is the Air Force Director of Civil Engineers, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection at the Pentagon. We discussed the current status and plans of Air Force construction in our islands and I encouraged him to push for greater military engagement with our local small businesses and community partners.
