WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds introduced H.R. 3400, the Territorial Response and Access to Veterans’ Essential Lifecare Act or TRAVEL Act of 2025. This landmark legislation aims to improve healthcare access, including specialized medical services, for veterans residing in U.S. territories, particularly those in the Northern Mariana Islands and other underserved areas.
WASHINGTON — Following the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of the 2025 Reconciliation Bill, also known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill (H.R. 1),” U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds highlighted key provisions that benefit working families across the country while reaffirming that Medicaid funding and services in the CNMI remain fully protected.
U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds, in her latest weekly e-newsletter, said she was happy to receive a response from the governor, who provided her additional information about the projects mentioned in FEMA Regional 9 Administrator Robert Fenton’s letter regarding unused recovery funds.
She said she appreciates the open communication “as we work together to ensure these recovery dollars are protected,” adding that her office remains committed to assisting however “we can, to help the CNMI meet FEMA’s expectations and complete these much-needed projects.”
