Kaitlin Wang joins the Washington congressional office as an Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) summer intern. Kaitlin is an incoming sophomore at Case Western Reserve University, where she is studying Economics and Political Science. She brings a strong interest in economic policy, community development, and service-oriented leadership. Throughout the summer, Kaitlin will gain firsthand experience in the legislative process while supporting our office’s work on behalf of the people of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Please join me in welcoming Maili Peter to the Saipan District Office as our summer intern. Maili recently completed her first year at Northern Marianas College and will be transferring to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa this fall. She brings a strong interest in environmental law and a desire to learn more about how public policy can help shape the future of our islands. I am excited to have Maili on the team this summer and look forward to giving her hands-on experience in the work we do every day.

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has been awarded a $1 million Bureau of Justice Assistance Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program grant to implement the CNMI Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). The initiative will strengthen patient safety and help prevent prescription drug misuse across the Commonwealth by improving data sharing, clinical decision-making, and public health surveillance.
