Agricultural producers in the Northern Mariana Islands impacted by Typhoon Bavi can access USDA disaster assistance programs to help recover from crop, livestock, and infrastructure losses. Eligible farmers and ranchers may apply for the Livestock Indemnity Program, Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-Raised Fish, and the Tree Assistance Program. Low-interest emergency loans and conservation support are also available. Producers should promptly report damages to their local USDA Service Center and gather documentation such as farm records and photos. Additional information and resources are available at farmers.gov and https://www.farmers.gov/dashboard/northern-mariana-islands/saipan.
