This week, I wrote to Assistant Secretary for Insular and International Affairs, Carmen Cantor, to advocate for the continuation of annual payments to the Prior Service Benefits Trust Fund. The Fund supports 109 remaining program members from the Northern Marianas who served the U.S. Navy Administration or the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands between 1944 and 1986, providing critical assistance for their everyday needs.

Washington – Today, Congresswoman King-Hinds announced her appointment to two new House committees: the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and the House Committee on Small Business. She will serve on the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, as well as the Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure.
