The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is in the final stages of awarding 691,405.60 in National Coastal Resilience Funds to the Commonwealth. The potential grant will support the Targeted Wetland Restoration Project in Garapan, Saipan. The project aims to restore ecosystem services through invasive species removal, reestablishment of native plants, and re-engineering of drainage systems at two wetlands within Saipan’s most populated watershed.
