That’s why your congressional office is hitting the road this month—bringing our team of caseworkers directly to the villages to make sure you have access to the help you need. We’ll be setting up at community centers every Friday this month to answer questions, hear your concerns, and assist with federal agency issues. This week, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provided advance notice of over $1.46 million in Fiscal Year 2025 formula grant awards for the Northern Mariana Islands. The CNMI is set to receive $980,125 through the Community Development Block Grant program to support decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities. An additional $407,723 is being allocated through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program to support the construction, rehabilitation, or rental assistance for affordable housing.
