Working To Uphold The US’s Promises to the Freely Associated States

On Tuesday, I received support from VA and Ambassador Paul from the Marshall Islands on my new bill, U.S. Vets of the FAS Act. VA has failed to implement promised healthcare services to our friends and family who served in the military and live in the FAS. It’s time to hold VA accountable and ensure these commitments are honored by providing U.S. veterans with access to telehealth, prescription medications, and beneficiary travel. I was honored to listen to Ambassador Paul’s testimony and question him on how my legislation will directly support veterans in the FAS. This bill puts the COFA Act to work, finally beginning the process of caring for the veterans it was meant to serve. If you would like to watch the hearing, click here.
