Former Saipan resident LJ Duenas (second from left) led the Alzheimer’s Association Aloha Chapter in meetings across Capitol Hill to advocate for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Their efforts focused on advancing H.R. 6130, the ASAP Act, which would establish a pathway for Medicare coverage of FDA-approved blood-based biomarker tests that can help detect Alzheimer’s disease earlier. I am proud to be a cosponsor of the ASAP Act and support expanding access to innovative diagnostic tools that can improve outcomes for patients and families. Thank you to LJ and the Alzheimer’s Association for your dedicated advocacy and continued work to enhance care and support for our man’amko.
