White House Engagement Continues as CNMI Recovers

Jack Rosemond, Special Assistant to the President in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, met with me again following my return from the Marianas. During our meeting, I provided an update on the widespread devastation caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku and emphasized the urgent need for continued federal assistance. I also conveyed my gratitude to the Administration for the tremendous support and partnership it has provided thus far. The CNMI faces significant challenges in the months ahead and will continue to rely heavily on federal assistance as recovery efforts move forward. The White House’s continued engagement and support will be critical to the people of the Northern Mariana Islands.
