We Have a Winner! Hyunyu Choi Wins 2026 Congressional Art Competition

Congratulations to Hyunyu Choi of Saipan International School for being selected as the winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. Her piece, “Culture Under the Promise”, was chosen from submissions by students across the Marianas and will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol alongside artwork from congressional districts across the country. One of the best parts of this competition is seeing the creativity and perspective our students bring to their work. I was grateful to everyone who participated and to the local judges who helped select this year’s winner. Congratulations as well to her teacher, Victoria Sewell, and to all the students who shared their talent through this year’s competition.
