Water, Power, and the Work Ahead

Water and power are on everyone’s mind across the CNMI. Super Typhoon Sinlaku hit critical infrastructure hard, and I closed out the week meeting with CUC Chairman Allen Perez, CEO Kevin Watson, and CFO Betty Terlaje to talk through where things stand. We discussed the challenges of rebuilding damaged systems, the progress their teams have made over the past two weeks, and the pressure created by rising global fuel costs. The conversation covered the options in front of us to support response and recovery while making sure CUC has the resources to continue delivering these essential services.
