U.S. Vets of the FAS Act

We made progress on advancing veterans services for our region this week, as I introduced H.R. 6652, the U.S. Vets of the FAS Act. This legislation would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide telehealth and mail-order pharmacy services to veterans residing in the Freely Associated States. The bill also establishes a clear timeline for VA to finalize agreements with FAS governments, strengthens beneficiary travel payments, and requires quarterly reporting to Congress to ensure accountability. Our veterans in the Freely Associated States deserve access to the care they earned through their dedication to the United States and their service to the world’s greatest military and I’m proud to lead this legislation on behalf of our veterans in the region.
