TRAVEL Act Passes the House

H.R. 3400, the Territorial Response and Access to Veterans’ Essential Lifecare Act or the TRAVEL Act of 2025, overwhelmingly passed the House on Monday. Once enacted, my bill will lead to better access to medical care for our veterans in the U.S. Territories. The TRAVEL Act increases the presence of VA specialty healthcare providers by assigning a VA physician to temporarily serve in underserved areas. The TRAVEL Act is a critical step in addressing the medical inequities veterans in our community face regularly. Our veterans have served our country and sacrificed their time and their health - it’s time the United States stepped up to provide the healthcare they promised to veterans. This legislation has moved to the Senate, and I will be working diligently to share with Senators the importance of bringing healthcare to our veterans.
