TRAVEL Act heads to the House Floor

The House Veterans’ Affairs Committee held a markup Wednesday on several bills, including H.R. 3400, the Territorial Response and Access to Veterans’ Essential Lifecare Act, or TRAVEL act of 2025. My legislation addresses the critical shortage of medical services in U.S. territories by improving healthcare access for our veterans. It establishes a program to deploy VA physicians to the territories for year-long rotations, ensuring veterans receive the specialized care they deserve. The TRAVEL Act received strong bipartisan support during the markup and was unanimously reported favorably out of committee. It now advances to the House Floor for a vote in the coming months.
