T&I hearing on the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024

I attended the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing on Thursday to hear updates from the FAA on the implementation of the Reauthorization Act of 2024.  As the closest U.S. territory to Asia, the CNMI's unique aviation needs were underscored during the session. The hearing provided a comprehensive review of the FAA's progress in implementing the provisions of the 2024 Reauthorization Act, focusing on areas such as air traffic controller staffing, airport infrastructure modernization, and consumer protections.  I am committed to ensuring that the Northern Mariana Islands' aviation priorities are effectively addressed in national policy discussions.
