Supporting Higher Education and Workforce Development
On Tuesday, we welcomed Northern Marianas College Interim President Frankie Eliptico and members of the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO), Christen Whitfield, Rob Andersen, and Tom Harnisch, to the Saipan district office. SHEEO advocates for state-level leadership in higher education policy and connects state higher education systems with the federal government. The organization has represented NMC’s interests for more than a decade. NMC was recently selected as one of only eight institutions nationwide to receive a highly competitive grant to help implement Workforce Pell programs, expanding opportunities for students to gain skills for in-demand careers. Congratulations to President Eliptico for your outstanding leadership and to the entire NMC team for your dedication to strengthening higher education opportunities and creating pathways to success for students across the Marianas.
