Strengthening ties with our Pacific neighbors in the FSM

Federated States of Micronesia Ambassador Jackson Soram met with me on Tuesday to discuss updates on the implementation of the Compact of Free Association with the United States, renewed in 2024. Of particular concern is the difficulty in expanding services for veterans to Micronesia as agreed upon. Getting adequate care and services for veterans is an issue we all know too well in the Marianas. I will always do what I can to help our friends and neighbors in the Pacific.
