Strengthening Regional Partnerships on Tourism
While on Guam, I had the opportunity to meet with Guam Senate Majority Leader Jesse Lujan to discuss one of our shared priorities, expanding the Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program to include the Republic of the Philippines. The Philippines has long-standing cultural and family ties to our region, and it also represents a growing market for visitors to both Guam and the CNMI. Expanding the program would create new opportunities to strengthen tourism, support local businesses, and further diversify the visitor markets our islands depend on. I appreciate Senator Lujan's leadership on this issue and his willingness to work together on a shared regional priority. By presenting a united voice, Guam and the CNMI can make a stronger case for policies that benefit both of our communities.
