Strengthening CNMI-Japan Relations

On Wednesday I met with Mr. Ken Ono, Minister of Congressional Affairs of the Embassy of Japan, to discuss opportunities for deepening cooperation between the CNMI and Japan.  The meeting focused on enhancing tourism, expanding cultural and educational exchanges, and exploring economic development partnerships.  I emphasized the importance of revitalizing travel to the CNMI and highlighted Japan’s historic and valued role in the region.  I am optimistic about future collaboration and stronger bilateral ties with Japan!
