On Tuesday, I had the honor of attending President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.  As the nation’s priorities were outlined, I was thinking about the CNMI and how these issues impact our families and communities.  Before the address, I met with Speaker Mike Johnson, Cabinet members, and fellow Members of Congress to discuss CNMI priorities. These conversations reinforced the importance of making sure our islands’ needs are heard and considered in Washington.  The SOTU reminded me that every decision here in Congress can create opportunities, or challenges, for the CNMI. I am committed to keeping our voice front and center, advocating for policies that strengthen our communities, and building a brighter future for us all.
