Please join me in congratulating Marlene Lumabi, who has been selected to represent the Northern Mariana Islands in the prestigious FIBA Europe Coaching Certificate (FECC) Program.  The FECC is a world-class coaching initiative focused on youth development and global leadership in basketball.  Coach Lumabi’s journey from local player to national team coach is a true testament to passion, perseverance, and purpose.  As head coach of the CNMI U23 Women’s 3x3 Team, who are set to compete in the 2025 Pacific Mini Games, she’s not just shaping athletes, she’s inspiring a generation.  Her selection places the CNMI on the global basketball map and brings invaluable experience and connections back to our islands. We are proud of her achievements and the example she sets for young women across the Marianas.  Congratulations, Coach Lumabi—you make the CNMI proud!
