Riding Along with the Office on Aging
Our Man’amkos were in the drivers seat this week - both in the conversation about policy needs and literally as I visited the Office of the Aging this week. I had a great conversation with Director Walter Manglona about the challenges they face and the efforts they’re making to sustain vital services for our Man’amkos. It was encouraging to hear their plans and ongoing commitment to our elders. I also had the opportunity to join some of the dedicated staff on a ride-along to deliver lunches to Man’amko in Gualo Rai. Witnessing their compassion and daily impact firsthand was truly heartwarming. Thank you to Director Manglona and the entire team for the warm welcome and meaningful discussions. I look forward to working together to ensure our Man’amko continue to be well cared for and supported.
