Reconnecting with Under Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting again with Under Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao. The Under Secretary and I have talked previously about the economic situation in the CNMI, and he returned to my office after conducting more research about how the Department of War and the federal government can help improve the economic situation in our islands. He has a sincere affection for the Marianas, that started when he was a young refugee that got his first taste of freedom in Guam and that grew on a recent visit to the CNMI. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with him on ways the federal government and the CNMI can work together in ways that benefit the CNMI economy and community.
