Reconnecting Saipan and Manila
I landed on Saipan Sunday night and came right back to the airport a few hours later to welcome the return of Philippine Airlines service between Saipan and Manila. More planes landing in the CNMI means more customers in our economy. The Philippines is an important market, and many families here have ties to both places, so this route also reconnects people who call both home. With limited access to our islands, each route carries weight. It brings in visitors, improves cargo movement, and adds some stability as we work to rebuild. We are continuing to look at how federal programs and partnerships can help expand access to the CNMI and support more consistent service over time. I appreciate everyone who worked to bring this route back and look forward to building on this progress.
