Philippine Airlines Lands in the District Office
I was grateful to welcome representatives from Philippine Airlines to the Saipan district office this week while they were on island meeting with CNMI stakeholders ahead of the launch of their new direct route between Saipan and Manila. During their visit, we shared updates on the work underway to support expanded air service for the Commonwealth, including advocacy for Governor Apatang’s request to include the Philippines in the Guam–CNMI Visa Waiver Program, efforts related to cabotage reform, and my work on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Reliable and expanded air service is essential to the CNMI’s economic recovery and long term growth. I look forward to seeing this service begin on March 29.
