Partnering with FEMA for the CNMI’s Recovery

I had the opportunity to dive into ongoing FEMA projects in the CNMI and discuss the critical role of federal disaster funding in our recovery efforts. We've faced our share of disasters, and each time, FEMA has stepped in to support response and rebuilding. But as government funding tightens, ensuring timely reimbursements for the CNMI’s disaster-related expenses is more important than ever. I appreciated the opportunity to get up to speed on the status of funds and reinforce the need for strong federal partnerships—because just like during the height of a disaster, working together is the only way to see recovery through.
