We were happy to learn that Judy C. Torres, Deputy Managing Director of the Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA), was recently honored with a Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Award of Merit during the PATA Annual Summit in South Korea a couple weeks ago.  This recognition reflects Judy’s decades of dedicated service to the CNMI tourism industry and her efforts to promote our islands throughout the Asia-Pacific region.  As one of the MVA’s most senior employees, Judy has been a steady leader through both prosperous and challenging economic times.  Her institutional knowledge and commitment to the CNMI have helped guide our tourism industry through periods of growth, recovery, and transformation.  We are also proud to highlight the longstanding partnership between the CNMI and PATA, of which the MVA has been a member for decades.  Since its founding in 1951, PATA has played a pioneering role in strengthening tourism across the Asia-Pacific region by fostering collaboration, expanding market opportunities, and supporting sustainable industry development.  Congratulations to Judy and the entire MVA team on this outstanding achievement!
