Listening to the Rota Business Community

Doing business in today’s economy is tough, and it’s even tougher on Rota. But the Rota Chamber of Commerce, its members, and those working to bring jobs and opportunity to the island continue to fight the good fight. While I was on Rota, I had the chance to meet with the Chamber and hear directly about the ongoing challenges, including shipping, transportation, tourism, and the need for economic diversification. I also shared updates on the work we’re doing in the House Small Business Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee—two important areas that can help Rota businesses move forward. These issues are not easy to solve, but we have to keep making progress. Every part of the Marianas deserves the chance to build a stronger, more sustainable future, and that starts with supporting local businesses and removing the barriers in their way.
