As we reflect with gratitude, we honor Pete and Emma Perez, co-founders of 500 Sails, whose vision and leadership have helped revive traditional canoe knowledge and inspire a new generation of ocean stewards.

For more than 11 years, Pete and Emma guided 500 Sails with the belief that our youth are the sunrise and that true leadership means preparing them to lead. As they transition stewardship to a capable new generation, they do so having built a strong foundation for cultural education, sustainability, and community impact.

As Pete and Emma begin a new chapter in Guam, we thank them for their service, their humility, and their trust in the future. Their legacy will continue to sail forward, carried by many hands.
