I had the great opportunity to join the Congressional Delegation from the U.S. Senate this week, led by Senator Roger Wicker and Senator Deb Fischer. I joined the CODEL in Guam as they toured and inspected federal investments across several military installations, and then traveled with them to Tinian, where they were welcomed by CNMI government leaders to view progress in the Northern Marianas. Senators Wicker and Fischer hold immense responsibility within our federal government. Together, through their roles on the Armed Services and Appropriations Committees, they help determine the projects and funding that support our national security infrastructure — including defense and related spending in the CNMI. I sincerely appreciated the opportunity to spend time with them and look forward to building on these relationships as we move into the next appropriations cycle.
