Introducing the TRAVEL Act

This week, I introduced H.R. 3400 – the Territorial Response and Access to Veterans’ Essential Lifecare Act. This piece of legislation aims to combat the health inequities our veterans face every day by providing increased access to specialized medical care. H.R. 3400 would enable the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to assign traveling VA physicians in each U.S. Territory. If passed, this will be a small step on the long road to receiving adequate healthcare for our heroes. I’m grateful to Congressman Moylan and Congresswoman Radewagen for joining as cosponsors. This is just one step on a long road toward equity in veteran care, but we’re committed to seeing it through.
