This June 19th, we join the nation in honoring the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and committing ourselves to the fight for freedom, equality, and justice for all. While Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in American history, its message resonates here in the CNMI, a diverse and vibrant community where the values of liberty and human dignity are at the heart of who we are. As we reflect on the long journey towards justice, may we also recognize our own responsibilities in building a more inclusive and equitable future for the CNMI and beyond.
