For the people of the CNMI, Independence Day is also a moment to reflect on our unique place within the American family. Through our Covenant with the United States, we have embraced these shared ideals while preserving our distinct identity, culture, and way of life. As we celebrate this day, let us honor the sacrifices that made our freedoms possible and continue working toward a more inclusive, just, and hopeful future for all.
