The Emperor of Japan had his birthday this week and it was celebrated in DC! I am grateful to have spoken with the Japanese Ambassador to the United States, Shigeo Yamada. Ambassador Yamada and I discussed the long-standing relationship between the CNMI and Japan, and ways we can grow closer.
