Governor Apatang in Washington!

Governor David Apatang is in Washington, DC this week for a marathon of activities. He and his team met with the White House, presented the CNMI’s priorities at the Interagency Group on Insular Areas Mid-Year Senior Plenary Session, and participated in the resumption of 902 Consultations. In preparing for the week ahead, I appreciated the Governor and his team coming by the Congressional Office to game plan Team CNMI’s strategy for engaging with our federal counterparts. They have been deeply involved in the new federal–territorial working groups and in the range of 902 issues now on the table. Thank you, Governor, for the partnership, the close collaboration we have built, and for making the case for the Marianas in Washington.
