Fun at the DYS Youth Cultural Immersion Summer Camp

On Wednesday, I visited the DYS Youth Cultural Immersion Camp. I had fun meeting with the youth and seeing how our community comes together to share in the richness of our cultures. I got to participate in some of the days events, sailing on the canoe, weaving and throwing a talaya. Seeing today’s youth take an interest and engage in these activities was inspiring, and really the highlight of my week! Thank you DYS for having me!
