First PACT Act Registration Event of 2025 Completes

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, through the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System, held its first outreach event of 2025 for Northern Marianas veterans this month. The Saipan PACT Act Registration and Community Call event provided veterans with direct access to VA representatives, information on expanded benefits under the PACT Act, and free healthcare services.
The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022 (or PACT Act) expanded health care eligibility to veterans who were exposed to toxic substances while in service to our country. With 169 claims already submitted by local veterans as of December 2024, the event aimed to increase awareness and enrollment, helping more veterans in our community access the benefits they have earned.
Your Congressional Office was present at the event, held at the Multipurpose Building in Susupe, to thank VA officials for their efforts and advocate for expanded outreach to veterans on Tinian and Rota. While I am grateful for the VA's commitment to providing face-to-face support, more must be done to address the challenges veterans face when accessing health care.
As a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, I will continue to push for expanded, accessible health services for our veterans in the 119th Congress.
