Federal Grants Bring Over Eleven Million Dollars to the Marianas

The Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs awarded the CNMI more than eleven million dollars in discretionary grants for Fiscal Years 2024 and 2025 over the weekend. These funds support critical needs in areas such as infrastructure, energy, education, and natural resource protection. A big congratulation goes out to the local agencies whose strong proposals and preparation helped secure these awards and I thank Governor Apatang and his administration for continuing to pursue federal resources during this difficult period. These investments will help strengthen essential services, modernize our utility systems, support our schools, and advance long-term economic stability.
