FAA Awards $4.9 Million for Rota Airport

The Commonwealth Ports Authority has been awarded $4,867,722 in Airport Improvement Program grant funds to reconstruct key components of the passenger terminal at the Benjamin Taisacan Manglona International Airport in Rota. The AIP grant will partially fund the replacement of the airport terminal’s 11,380 square foot roof along with portions of its structural support system, including footings, columns, beams, slabs, and associated modifications. We thank the Federal Aviation Administration and the Commonwealth Ports Authority for their hard work and partnership in securing this funding to ensure that Rota remains accessible and resilient for years to come. These planned improvements will help ensure the facility can continue to meet the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors. Congratulations to CPA!
