Discussing Sinlaku response with White House

Jack Rosemond, Special Assistant to the President in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, visited the Congressional Office on Tuesday. Jack is now our primary point of contact at the White House, and we discussed several pressing issues facing the Marianas, especially the impacts of Super Typhoon Sinlaku and the federal response required. I am grateful to President Trump and his team for the swift approval of the emergency declaration and for the major disaster declaration that is forthcoming. Thank you, Jack, for your visit and for the White House’s continued support for the people of the Northern Mariana Islands.
