Defense conversations that matter

On Wednesday, I had a great conversation with House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers about ongoing Department of Defense investments in the CNMI. As his committee works on the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act - the primary vehicle for funding these projects - it was a valuable moment to discuss where we are, what’s needed, and how federal policy can better support CNMI-owned businesses in military contracting. We also talked about labor access in the Marianas and why economic stability in our islands is critical to national security. Thank you, Chairman Rogers, for taking the time.
