Courtesy Visit from “Typhoon Twin” Landon Aydlett
On Tuesday, I welcomed Landon Aydlett, one half of the “Typhoon Twins,” to our Washington, D.C. office. Landon and his identical twin brother, Brandon, are meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) in Guam, where they’ve become trusted voices across the Pacific for their calm, clear communication during severe weather. Featured in FOX Weather, the Aydlett brothers have spent more than a decade keeping the Northern Marianas and Micronesia informed and safe when typhoons and other inclement weather strike. It was great to meet with Landon and discuss the essential work he and his brother do to keep our islands prepared. Public servants like Landon and Brandon, the “Typhoon Twins,” remind us how important clear and timely communication is for protecting lives across the Pacific.
