A major focus this week was meeting with the many leaders from the diverse ethnic and cultural communities that make the CNMI so special. What makes our islands unique isn’t just geography—it’s the incredible diversity of people who live side by side, each bringing their own story, traditions, and perspective. We met with representatives from the Thai, Bangladeshi, Pohnpeian, Indian, Korean, Palauan, Chuukese, Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese communities. While there are issues we all share, each group also faces its own distinct challenges. Serving the public means recognizing that—and taking the time to listen. What I heard this week gave me hope. Across every conversation, there was a shared belief: we can do anything when we work together. These meetings were more than just dialogue—they were a celebration of strength, culture, and unity. Thank you to all who made time to speak with me and share your voices. These conversations and your voices matter.
