Collaboration with the DOW at the CNMI Stakeholder Meeting
I joined leaders from across the CNMI government and the U.S. Department of War this week for the CNMI Stakeholder Meeting. This regular gathering of local and federal officials helps ensure that the important work of building the CNMI’s capabilities to support our nation’s security moves forward smoothly. It is amazing what can be accomplished when we simply talk to each other. These meetings highlight issues, open dialogue, and allow us to work together on solutions. This week’s discussions included updates on ongoing DOW training activities, addressing the concerns of CNMI agencies, and exploring ways to expand the benefits of military activity throughout the community. Information and dialogue are a two-way street, and meetings like this are critical to keeping our community informed and engaged.
