Collaborating with Rota Leaders on Growth and Development

I had the pleasure of connecting with Rota’s delegation, including Senator Calvo, Senator Mangloña, and Congresswoman Ogo this week to discuss key opportunities and challenges for the island. Over the course of the last month, Rota and its needs have been a big topic for me. The challenges are complex, but the work of government can be meaningful to the lives of residents on the island. We explored the impacts of an increased military presence, the potential for a drone manufacturing industry, and improvements to the local landfill. Working closely with Rota’s leaders ensures that federal and local efforts align to support sustainable growth and enhance quality of life for residents.
