On June 12, we proudly join our Filipino community in celebrating Philippines Independence Day!  The CNMI and the Philippines share a bond that goes back centuries—from the Spanish colonial era when both were governed under the same administrative district, to today, where our people, cultures, and futures remain closely connected.  Thousands of Filipinos have made the CNMI their home—building businesses, raising families, and contributing every day to the growth and prosperity of our islands.  Mabuhay and Happy Independence Day!
