Celebrating Our Own: Tania Tan Named Pacific Player of the Week
Huge props to CNMI long distance runner Tania Tan for being named Pacific Player of the Week by Nesia Daily, a part of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Tania’s record-breaking performance in the 1500m at the Oceania Cup in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, has made the entire Marianas proud. Her dedication and achievement continue to showcase the incredible talent and determination found across our islands. As an avid runner myself, I admire Tania’s commitment to excellence and her representation of the CNMI on the regional stage. She reminds us that with focus, discipline, and heart, our people can compete and win. We are also honored that her story was highlighted by the ABC, Australia’s national public service media organization, which for over 90 years has been committed to telling stories that reflect the diversity, creativity, and resilience of people throughout the Pacific and beyond.
